An occasion of joy and recreation is a festival. India being the land of festivals celebrates all the occasions with great pomp and show. We believe, it is through festivals and celebrations that we express our happiness. A child comes into the world with many hopes and dreams. Through these celebrations, we try our best to fulfil these dreams and work towards his spiritual, physical and intellectual development.
These festivals not only strengthen the bond of love among the pupils coming from the different social backgrounds but also fade away the dividing lines of discrimination based on colour, caste, creed, religion and language from their heart.
In order to keep the tradition of celebration and spirit of happiness alive in the hearts of the children, MMIS celebrates all the festivals with great zeal and enthusiasm. Class parties are organized which bring a lot of fun and gaiety in the air. Activities associated with the festivals are organized in the school such as Diya Making &Rangoli at the time of Diwali, Rakhi making on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in order to familiarize the students with the pious knot between brother and sister, and celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna to keep the children in touch with mythology.
All the National festivals such as Independence Day, Republic Day etc. are celebrated    with no exception. Celebration of significant days such as Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Holi, Dusshehra, Diwali & Christmas not only give the whole school a festive look but leave fond memories and important messages in the children’s heart, too.
Earth week celebrated in the month of April made the children aware of the effects of global warming and encouraged them to contribute in different ways to “Save Mother Earth” and make it worth living.
Recently on 11th Dec. 2015, the school celebrated its 6th Annual Day with great pomp and show. The mass participation of the students in theme- based dances and acts was seen to be believed. Based on the theme ‘Incredible India’, most of the acts were conceptualized by MMIS Cultural Committee and choreographed by expert & experienced professionals.  The whole cultural fiesta received huge appreciation and accolades from one and all.
