Humanity would never forget the pandemic period that started in 2020 with the spread of Covid-19. This was certainly a period of dormancy for the entire world; it indeed caused, and has still been causing, immense human suffering and robbed individuals of livelihoods and countries of prosperity.

It was in this time that digital media took charge and online learning took the centerstage. The Coronavirus did close down the school buildings, but it couldn’t dampen the MMITanians’ spirit to learn. Our students not only continued with their regular studies, class activities and in-house competitions but also participated in many interschool/international events and study programs also.

Our students proudly share the benefits of hybrid learning. They can speak for hours sharing their learning outcomes and the level of exposure they got in 2020 through different online participation platforms.

In line with our motto, “Dream bigger, Aim Higher”, our students are always willing to shoot in the bull’s eye and voice their minds over  matters of concern. In response to an invitation to an international event, ‘Study Australia Video Competition 2020’ organized by The Australian Trade & Investment Commission, Government of Australia and sponsored by five elite universities of Australia- Maquarie University, The University of Queensland, The University of Western Australia, University of Sydney, University of Wollongong – our 4 students got themselves registered. Devanshi Garg, Vanshika Gupta, Subhjot kaur and khushboo- all from XI Medical- used this opportunity to showcase their communicative as well as video-making and video-editing skills, and submitted their 3-min long videos on the themes, ‘Future of Work’ and ‘Lockdown Blues’.

Shot amidst strict covid restrictions, our in-house graphic designers’ efforts in these videos are worth –an- applause.

As they say, ‘You get from the universe, what you look for.’ There came another huge  learning opportunity for our kids – The ‘LIT-O-MANIA 2020’ organised by S.M.Shetty International School & Junior College, Mumbai. Our students, Devanshi Vashisht (VII), Arnav Chadha (VII), Kriti Saini (VICAIE), Manmeet Kaur (VII CAIE),Subhjot kaur (XI Med.) and Vanshika Gupta (XI Med.) participated as teams in online competitions- JAM, Spell Bee, Love-n –Literature and garnered a lot of appreciation through their performance.

The event witnessed a huge participation from hundreds of international schools across South India and Mumbai, yet our students found a mention in their closing ceremony.

Take a look at their certificates.

In November 2020, MMIS,Mullana received another exclusive invitation-based free online study program, ‘Global Extension Studies 2020’ from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Melbourne, Australia. Our students, Tanishka (XII) and Subhjot (XI) along with many others attended rigrous online lectures on ‘Programming’ delivered by RMIT faculty, Australiafor more than a month and received Course Completion Certificates.

In Subjot’s words, “Trust me,ma’am, It wasn’t easy at all.”“But you did it,girl!”

Kudos to you!
